Build in the late 19th century for the Glen Hurich gamekeeper, Stag Cottage was refurbished to provide comfortable accommodation in the most delightful area which is ideal for walking, cycling or wildlife watching. The cottage is situated close to the edge of Loch Doilet pictured above and nestles within the small group of pine trees that you can see to the right of the centre in the photograph above. Glen Hurich is one of the most remote of the Scottish Glens, 6 miles from Strontian on the Ardnamurchan peninsular.
The cottage facilities include: Dining / kitchen with double belfast sink, floor cupboards, electric cooker, fridge freezer and microwave.
Sitting room with wood burning stove, TV and DVD player, plus lots of comfortable seating.
Two bedrooms - one double and one twin.
Fully fitted bathroom with new suite including shower and a heated towel rail.
Heated drying room with washing machine and lots of space for outdoor clothes and boots etc.
A large very private garden with lawns, mature trees, fabulous views in all directions and a picnic table.
There is mains electricity, telephone and a private water supply (we would recommend boiling water used for drinking). It is no smoking and, other than guide dog, we're sorry but no pets.
Availability is from Saturday to Saturday - throughout the year.
